Finally Finished: My Latte Striped Crochet Shorts

Meet the Latte Striped Shorts

I’m so proud to share this finish product I made by hand for knot and curls.

Soft latte brown and cream stripes, made with half double crochets for that comfy, breathable feel. Perfect for lounging at home, coffee runs, or layering over a swimsuit. The colors are giving cozy cafe vibes and I’m obsessed.

Laid on satin with my little “Handmade with love & patience” tag — because that’s exactly what this took.

When I first started, I was so clueless about sizing. Too tight. Too loose. Too short. Too long.

I kept ripping it all out and starting over.

The biggest challenge? Figuring out the *right number of rows* and *half double crochets* to actually fit a small size. Crochet shorts are tricky — they need to sit right on the waist, not gap, and still have room to move.

But after testing, counting, frogging, and testing again… I finally got it.

The fit is clean. The stripes line up. The waistband sits comfy. And every stitch feels worth it now.

Should we sell this with a matching top? 🥰💜🌼
