Welcome to another installment of Frogging Friday!
Today, I’m working with the lovely linen stitch—a beautiful pattern created by alternating rows of single crochets and chain stitches.
I’ve been making progress on this piece using Belle Basic Cotton yarn, but as I stepped back to take a look at the cream-colored center, I realized something was off: the white section was just a bit too small.

To get the scale and proportions right, I had to make the hard call to frog the red and blue borders so I could go back, extend the white center, and rebuild from where I left off.
Lessons from the Frog Pond Today:
Do not be afraid to frog. If a piece feels off, it’s better to rip it out early than regret it later when it’s fully finished.
Frogging isn’t failure. Unraveling stitches can be frustrating, but it’s just part of the creative process—giving the yarn a second chance to turn into something you genuinely love!
Have you had to frog any projects this week? 😊💜
